Fair
Charles ~
1996
Bred by Harold Bathke of Angwin, California, Fair
Charles was line-bred Wiescamp ..."...a culmination
of what the Carl Miles' breeding program was supposed
to be", according to one time owner, Steve Dal
Porto. During his halter career, he was Reserve National
Champion Two Year Old Stallion, and won every major
stock show across the country at least once, but most
of them twice. He came to prominence as a sire of both
outstanding Halter and Performance horses.

Through December of 1995, his
foals have won 5 Medallions and one Superior Achievement
nationally, with lifetime total points through that date
of over 3,200 points. In California, he was the Leading Sire
of Halter Horses in 1981, 1982, 1983 and 1985, and Leading
Sire of Performance Horses in 1985. Many of the horses on
the Cal-Western circuit are out of daughters of Fair Charles
and are carrying on his winning tradition.
